Our Wellbeing Helpline and Texting Service is a listening service for the residents of Lancashire and South Cumbria. It is a Freephone out of hours, person-centred listening environment for people requiring emotional support in relation to their own wellbeing and mental health or that of someone they know.
Our Call service is available Monday to Friday 7pm to 11pm and Saturday to Sunday 12pm to midnight.
Our Text service is available Monday to Friday 10am to11pm and Saturday to Sunday 12pm to midnight.

The helpline aims to empower callers and text users through active listening and information to make their own choices about how their health care needs may be met.
The helpline aims are:
- To promote mental wellbeing and reduce stigma.
- To provide ‘out of hours’ telephone support to anyone concerned about their own mental health of that of someone they know.
- To provide mental health information and offer details of local and national support groups.
- To provide immediate emotional support for anyone experiencing distress.
- To empower callers through information to make their own choices about how their healthcare needs may be met.
Specially trained volunteers operate the helpline, they offer their time to listen and support callers and text users. They are supported, valued, engaged and empowered to support the helpline service.
The volunteer are trained to deliver a high quality emotional support service to those in need of a listening ear. The volunteers are also trained to access information to provide you with over the telephone.
