Group Aims
The Rheumatology Reconditioning Group provides physiotherapy led exercise to people with inflammatory and degenerative arthritis. It aims to improve posture, alignment, range of movement, strength and stability.
The group aims to increase confidence through exercise to encourage long-term management of arthritis with continuation of exercise at home and in the community.

Exercise Session
The exercise session will consist of:

A 10-minute warm up

Stretching exercise - slow and controlled core strengthening exercises

A 10-minute cool down
The exercises will be adapted to suit all physical and psychological needs.
Booking In
The Rheumatology Reconditioning Group will run on a Tuesday from 11:15am to 12:15pm in the Minerva Health Centre gym.
There will be a maximum of eight patients per class to ensure appropriate supervision and good exercise technique.
Please register onto the class by booking six consecutive weekly sessions from the next available date of the Rheumatology Reconditioning Group. This can be done at the front desk in the Minerva Health Centre.
If you know you will not be able to attend one of the classes, please defer the booking to a date you will be able to attend as no sessions can be added on at the end of the six weekly sessions.
Please note due to the demand for places if you do not attend a session without letting us know, you will be discharged from the group.
If you cancel a class within 24 hours on more than one occasion, you will be discharged from the group.
