Who are we?

All children get upset sometimes.

We see children who are sad, worried or angry about things that have happened in their lives.

We hope to help you and your family to make things better.

What do we do?

We are interested to get to know you and your family.

We will try to get to know you by speaking with your parents or carers.

We will also try to get to know you by doing the things you like. This may be drawing, playing games together or talking.

What will happen in the first meeting?

We will meet with you and your parent or carer together, generally as a video call but face-to-face is also an option.

This first meeting will last about an hour.

We will spend some time getting to know you and your family and what you would like some help with.

The things we talk about are private. We will explain this more when we see you.

How can we help?

The first step will involve meeting us and we may then arrange to meet up some more times, using video calls or face-to-face at The Mount in Accrington.

We know that children can be worried about coming to talk to us. We will do our best to help you feel safe and relaxed.

What have other children said who have come to see us?

“Not scary like I thought it would be.”

“I can say what I want.”

“Really nice.”

“It’s fun and I get to play games.”
