The Lancashire and South Cumbria Resilience Hub, set up to offer psychological support to those who worked on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic, is now closed to new referrals. Following the cessation of funding which ended in March 2023, the Trust has been working with partners to try to secure future funding for a continued service. It is with regret that this funding will not be available.
Julie Anne Murray, Interim Chief Nurse and Quality Officer said:
“The mental health and wellbeing of our staff is a priority for us. The hub was established to support our colleagues during the unprecedented times of COVID-19. The closure of the hub does not mean that wellbeing support, including Psychological support stops. Each organisation continues to provide ongoing health and wellbeing services, support and guidance for all staff.
Please be assured that those who have already accessed the service and have commenced their care through this resource will continue to be seen. We have written to those affected directly.
Staff across our geography, including here at LSCft, will continue to receive significant health and wellbeing support through various initiatives. There is a wealth of information on our dedicated wellbeing website, which includes sections on psychological, financial and wellbeing support, the Hub of Hope and many more.
On behalf of the Trust, I would like to say a huge thanks to all of the Resilience Hub staff who have helped and supported so many over the past few years.”
