This week (Monday 11 November to Friday 15 November) is Psychological Professions Week, which is a brilliant opportunity to bring together psychological professionals, policy makers, and the public to connect and share their learning to maximise the benefit of the psychological professions to the communities they serve.

At LSCft, our psychological professions workforce are embedded in a variety of settings, from Talking Therapies, community mental health teams, inpatient wards, eating disorders and provide support across the lifespan. This week we are celebrating our amazing psychological professional colleagues and the invaluable work that they do by sharing stories from five of our colleagues.

Allan Gaze - Counsellor

Allan works in our Talking Therapies Service as a counsellor, a service that works with a range of clients aged 16 years and older who are presenting with anxiety and depression.

Counsellors usually work with clients where depression is the main difficulty, often underlying the depression is a range of reactions to life experiences, adjustments and losses that a service user is experiencing.
