Today marks the start of Pride Month, a month where we celebrate all things LGBTQ+, raise awareness and remember those who fought so hard for acceptance and liberation.
Diversity and representation are key foundations to the Trust, we strive to present a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ service users and always encourage our colleagues to bring their wholeselves to work.
Our LGBTQ+ Staff Network will be joined by colleagues from across our services at a number of Pride events this month and throughout the summer.
Pride events are a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of what LSCft has to offer in terms of services, support and opportunities. Having a presence at events helps to break down barriers and alleviate fears that those from the LGBTQ+ community may experience when accessing healthcare. Plus they are great fun and an opportunity to meet new people!
