People in Lancashire and South Cumbria have been given two further opportunities to discuss health and care services with NHS leaders in the region following a recent series of successful events.

The events, called ‘Your health. Your future. Your say.’ are the latest step in developing a dialogue between NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) – the organisation that plans and manages health services in the region – and the public.

Six public events have been held in towns in Lancashire and South Cumbria throughout October with one event remaining in Blackburn. For those that were unable to attend in person two more virtual events have been arranged with people encouraged to register to attend.

The online events being held via Microsoft Teams will take place on:

•  Monday 18 November, 11am to 1pm
•  Wednesday 20 November 6pm to 8pm

To get a link to join the meeting, all you have to do is register on Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board's website and follow the instructions for the meeting you prefer.

Kevin Lavery, Chief Executive Officer for the ICB, said:

“These events are part of our proactive public engagement programme to listen to what matters to our communities across Lancashire and South Cumbria. We have had over 200 people register and attend our in-person events but want to ensure as many people as possible can be part of this conversation.

“We want people who live and work across our area to feel informed and involved in decisions that will help the NHS recover from the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and transform to be fit for the future.
Your views matter in shaping the vision and priorities of health and social care and we want to know what works well now and what we can do to improve things now and in the future.

We would like to share with you our plans for how we will work in the future, making a move from hospital-based support to more services being provided in the community and closer to home for many people.

We are encouraging people to share their views on our work to transform clinical services which considers how we can provide support for long-term conditions, specialist care, care in the community and the future of our hospitals.
The events are open to everyone so if you live or work in the area come along and meet the team.”

Join the conversation and get involved. Anyone who wishes to attend is asked to visit the ICB website and select the event they wish to attend, email ICB Communications or call 0300 373 3550.
