What Is The Engagement Pillar?

We work to enable connected, aware and inclusive communities to participate in influencing and shaping the neighbourhoods and services they access.
We engage with people through our HARRI vehicle, across our Community Roots sites and within our in-patient services, developing links with seldom heard community groups and Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise groups (VCFSE).
We recognise that everyone brings different lived experience expertise and that we need to consider people’s different needs.
Community engagement is about providing the time, space and communication mechanisms in place to enable meaningful involvement, participation and feedback to be valued and acted on.
We do this through listening to our community’s needs, experiences, ideas and aspirations through meaningful engagement and involvement, working in partnership with service users, staff and carers to support and help people navigate the health and wellbeing services available in their area.
If you have a passion for improving your local community we would love to hear from you! You can get involved through our Advisory Group, Peer Volunteer roles and Involvement opportunities.

We will support and develop service user and carer engagement routes that ensure our communities are listened too

We will reach in to communities through our mobile engagement vehicle HARRI

We will promote awareness and access to health and wellbeing opportunities local to you

We will work closely with our colleagues, VCFSE networks and community groups to promote wellbeing events

HARRI is also available to attend health events and campaigns. It is the perfect vehicle to promote local services to a wide audience in just a few hours, allowing services to highlight their initiatives, raise awareness and discuss concerns.
